2013 VW Touareg towbar

I've just bought a new towcar ex demo model but it doesn't have the drop down towbar as standard I was hoping for.

VW have offered to fit a towbar with all electrics which they told me included a different cooling system and electrics.

Does anyone out there have this fitted to the same or similar cars.what do I need to look out for,also I can't find a decent photo with a aftermarket towbar fitted do they need to cut anything for fitment.
