Watch your knuckles.....

I have the diamond wheel clamps that have a part that covers a wheel nut slot and they wrap around the tyre with a fixing plate at the back, to stop catching your knuckles on the ground every time you turn the nut place it all on a piece of 1" thick timber thus allows the nut to go round with ease above ground level.

I also cover the lock aperture with insulation tape to avoid dirt from splashing into the lock as it's almost on the ground And gets very dirty!.
