Good plan or logistical nightmare?

I can't keep my caravan at home, it is currently in storage about 20 minutes from home with easy access to the A1.  What is not so easy is that more and more 'vans have been crammed in and I now find it very difficult to reverse mine into it's space.  I am not strong enough to push the 'van in myself and the storage is not manned.  So, I'm looking for somewhere else to keep it.  Certainly, there's nowhere in a more convenient location but I thought I'd check out the storage offered by the club.

There is storage at Stockton, on the White Water site.  This is about 90 minutes from home, but I usually travel south and it's close to my favourite surf spot so would be lovely for weekends away without towing (apart from getting from storage space to pitch). It seems great in this respect but I have reservations as it's so far from home.

If I was travelling North I'd be making my journey much longer, but I might be able to take the 'van to my parents the weekend before I travelled.

Does anyone else keep their 'van so far from home?  Any more pros and cons for me to think about?
