I have changed these before but can't remember how to remove the pin on the thing in  order to slide off the old one or is it a miniscule screw?  Help would be much appreciated

Just done a few of mine.  Work with window open and standing outside.  On underside of the catch there is a little pin hole; with a suitable small implement - I used a straightened paper clip - push into this hole and slide the catch out; facing inwards mine slid left to right.  On refitting the new catch just slides on. They are a bit pricey aren't they, no cheaper on Amazon than my local dealer!

Thank you so much I was on the right track but couldn't find anything small and strong enough to do the trick! Very kind Warden at Meathop Fell had something that did the trick. I shall probably remember next time one breaks.
