What length.....

Never can tell in my experience!

I have a number of 1m lengths of domestic waste pipe with some straight push fits a couple of elbows a 45 and a variable angle push fit and a couple of shorter lengths (0.5 + 2 off 0.25).

Can always hit the drain and always have a nice even drop all the way, free draining, no low points ....and cheaper than stinky grey hose too!  

(Lengths cut to store in the front locker of the Bailey).

Have seen people cutting grey hose on site a number of times, which seems a bit of a waste (no pun intended) - domestic hard pipe for me all the way!

Just take a selection of short pipes & join them with one or two of these as needed.

I just use the smelly grey flexi pipe  ..... it pushes into the push fit connectors well enough, not exactly water tight, but good enough to get  the majority of the waste to the drain  (or under a hedge at some CLs)

We also use the grey flexi pipe. Never seems to get that smelly, but then plenty of shower water keeps it reasonably well scoured. We carry a 3 metre length and a 2 metre length and join them with the connector below if required. Usually one length is sufficient, occasionally we need both.

 We have an 8 metre length of the grey flexible pipe that virtually rolls up. Can never be too long and can peg it down if needed with surplus awning pegs.
