Is it normal for the water pump to stop working after not being used for 10 mins or so?

Mine needs switching off and on again all the time.

Thanks

James

Is yours an immersible one?

My whale pump sits in the aquaroll the whole time I am on site and, once switched on at the control panel, is not switched off until we break camp.

Purchase another one and you can always keep it as a spare if that does not solve the problem.

Yes it is an immersible one, it sits in the aquaroll with the pump switched on on the control panel. However, after about 10 minutes without use, no water comes out. Until I switch off and on again.

Hi

on some control panels the on/off switch acts as a circuit breaker as well.

I would check for a bad earth or poor connection where the submersible  pump connects to van or behind this connection point.

could even be the pump itself tripping the circuit out.
