Whale Ivan Heating

Whilst away with our Elddis Supreme 550 in the last week we had an issue with the heating in strong winds and heavy rain. The site was an excellent CL but a bit exposed just above the shores of Loch Lomond.

Late in the afternoon the heating went off and at first I thought it had reached our desired temperature of 19degs. but later wondered why it had not come back on. Checked the Ivan panel and it showed lockout error 5 suggesting the flues were blocked. Braved the weather to check but all clear. Reset as instructed went for 5 minutes and stopped again. This happened a few times so decided to set the heater on max setting for a spell then turned it back to moderate and no further problems.

Next day we had a really strong gust on the flue side and got the same error again. I can only assume that some how this is causing the problem. The flues tubes are about 4 foot long and vent on the opposite side of the van from the heater.

My question is has anyone else had this experience or is this purely down to wind and direction.

Thanks.
