TV - FreeSat

We've never bothered at all with FreeSat - we've always managed through the TV aerial or by plugging in to the aerial connection supplied by the sites.  By using this system we have never had any problems in getting a TV signal - not that it's a big issue anyway for us.

It seems as if everytime we go away, these days, we see an increasing number of units with what look like FreeSat system.  Being someone who likes gadgets, what would be the benefits of a Sat system for TV.  Do I really want to be bothered in setting up yet more equipment when I get to a site?
