OK, just had a look at the flash codes and this is the Truma detail...

45 s,s,l,s,l,l,s,l

Error....No 230 V supply to Combi E

Error description....230 V power supply failure

1st action.....Check 230 V voltage

2nd action...Water temperature switch reset / check 230 V

so, when running on gas I wouldn't expect a 230v supply, however I would expect a potential error of the 12v supply (for fan and PCB) was very low.....coincidental with change of bottle?......perhaps

also when ehu plugged in, works ok....this may be replenishing 12v supply......pull cable out and fault reoccurs.....

im wondering two things.....

1) have you got the error flash code right? Could it be code 44 sslsllss (just one blink different in 8th position) which is 12v supply less than 10.5v....this fits with my flat leisure battery thoughts above....

2) you have a flat (defective) leisure battery....you were off grid (no ehu) for how long? Any solar panel to keep things well charged?

Get your battery tested or try and borrow a known good leisure battery and try the gas heating again...

Just to add to the above....

did you have any other 'low 12v' symptoms, like dimming lights, slow water pump etc....

i was thinking that you might have blown a leisure battery fuse but you would have lost lights etc....
