Hello everyone ,

We're relatively new to motorhoming and have just got our Swift Bessacarr 542 which came with Thule bike rack bars.

The motorhome is great but has minimal storage so I bought a Fiamma ultra box which will serve us great once fitted.

My question is, can I use a Fiamma bike rack instead of the Thule rack as there are massive diffrences in price, or is there another bike rack out on the market we could buy?

Many thanks in advance guys and girls :)

I've fitted Fiamma and Thule/Omni to several of my Eriba caravans. They look similar but models the makes and models within each range differ and are not really interchangeable. My advice is measure the pitch and size of the holes on your fitted mounting bars, downlaod the online brochures for something that fits then start your e-bay and gumtree search.

Many van and motorhome owners do not like rear mounted carriers and good unused or little used examples turn up for sale at very attractive prices.

My current carrier was designed for a Trigano motorhome and fitted with little alteration. Like new it cost me less than £60 with carriage a few years ago.

I believe the  Fiammi   rack cannot be fitted to the Thule bars on the rear of the van.

Having had both racks I’m sure the fittings are different.
