I am going to buy a sunshade for next season having done away with awnings, I like the look of the Dorema Monaco and the Eurotrail , has anyone had or has one and are there any pitfalls.

Isabella eclipse, pricey but very substantial. You can get one that full size of your van, or one the size of a magnum. I have had mine now for about 4 years. Have tried other makes but there is nothing to match.

That one passed me by, we went for the Shadow. Not as substantial as I’d like, but ok.

I always suggest to people check Ebay or Preloved first before rushing out to buy. With so many people changing their caravans for a different size there are always little used bargains to be had.

We were lucky to find an as new Isabella sun canopy ( the type with the removable end) complete with the fibreglass frame for only £75. It was such a bargain we actually bought it before our new caravan arrived.

Another vote here for the Isabella Eclipse, tried all the rest now got the best.  Bought the size for the magnum as it also fits our Ventura Marlin porch awning. This year I am thinking of buying a full size one which will fit our big awning.  Problem is though pitch sizes these days are often not satisfactory to use both together!

We like our shadow have had a couple now, lightweight easy to put up and importantly for any canopy easy and quick to take down in the event of strong winds. It will actually withstand a reasonable blow. Admittedly rather basic but made from quality materials.
