Just went into caravan to remove tea, coffee, cans, Etc now we  won't be using for some time and found glass everywhere.

Sink bowl glass cover had exploded sometime in last two weeks since we were last in caravan. Took ages to clean up all the hundreds of bits of glass.

Searched ebay and spares dealers and no covers in stock anywhere as it seems design has change. Looks like 5 years is too long to expect spares to be available nowadays.

Well just have to make do doesn't stop us using caravan once present situation is over.

Maybe the manufactures dont expect their vans to last 5 years?

Perhaps to cut/shape a piece of 5mm or so of plywood to give the workspace the glass offered?

Not ideal I know

We must be unlucky with these glass covers since it has happened before when we were actually out in the last caravan and OH was closing the lid and one hinge jammed and glass shattered.

Since we were looking for another caravan at the time I did find a chopping board to fit over the sink and kept it when new caravan bought. Just need to find!

Thanks for the suggestion peedee

Still on their site at a reasonable price but  like most other dealers not in stock at moment. Have found a salvaged one but they want nearly as much as new so since no rush at present will keep an eye open for stock coming in.
