Recently required a peg puller, but gave up on the ones normally available as more often than not they just bend.
I then came up with the idea of modifying a small utility bar which I bought from Toolstation (other suppliers are available),
I drilled the hole in the flat bar out so that a peg would fit through and then opened up the slot in the bent end with a angle grinder so that it would fit a peg, I now have a peg puller strong enough to remove pegs and putting a spare peg through the hole allows the peg to be used as a handle.
Total cost was £3.19 plus 5 minutes of my time.
