Motor mover bolts coming loose

We had a powertouch auto fitted to a new van in January 2014. No problems of any kind with it when we traded the van in for a MH in March 2019.

Not yet Ian but thanks for the heads up. I suppose that any bolt can come loose but on such an important piece of kit why don’t they use Nylok nuts??  

Had 2 of these and fitted one myself. The bolts should not come loose, I would suspect they were not torqued when fitted. Powrtouch are renowned for their reliability. 

Our power touch was fitted in 2017 and we have done several thousand of miles on Uk roads?and not had bolts coming loose ,I suspect as others yours were not touqued up on fitting and is the m m inspected on a service? 

I was under the van the other day checking the Powertouch and painting the exposed parts with anti rust paint and protecting all exposed threads with copper slip grease (as the last mover was unbelievably rusty after 5 years.) Everything looked spot on and everything was tight and solid. I agree with Phishing- they should not come loose and there is obviously a reason why they did but how the hell do you prove it?? 

Ian,  if you are still concerned about the bolts coming loose  might I suggest a touch of LOCTITE ( spelling ?? ) or as a last resort, a dab of Nail Varnish will hold them securely until the engineers can check on them.
