Lighter poles

I am looking for either , the alloy frame or the fibreglass frame for my apache  Torino awning. We bought it in 2007. The size is 860. I was told that a bradcot classic alloy frame would do the job, but oncontacting bradcot, they were'nt happy that I would be using the frame with anything other than a bradcot awning. So, I have contacted a few apache dealers who all tell me that they no longer sell apache awnings and one dealer told me that apache no longer make awnings! For me, a sad day indeed.

Can anyone tell me. How I can make my frame lighter please?
