Hi

We are looking to upgrade from the the porch awning that came with the caravan and were looking at the Kampa frontier 400. I read on a review that somebody thought that there would be problems on sites because of the size of it. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks

Our caravan is 8.1m long and 8' wide and we have a Kampa 390 Grande awning which, at 3m deep, means we will take up as much room as you are talking about. So far, we have only been to Chatsworth and used the slightly smaller Sunncamp 390 with no problems.

Since we tend to use CLs and CS's more than 'formal' sites, I don't envisage any problems there, either.

I would have thought it a little tight on some pitches but apparently not a problem as R&R have had practical experience.

It's tight Easy - but do-able - that said, I have never found Club pitches particularly generous.  More of a problem tends to be with the van spot on the marker, there is barely enough room to park the car down the offside and open the doors without clattering the Aquaroll.

This is one of the reasons why we much prefer CLs etc.

Thanks everyone. We are very new to all of this. We bought our first caravan at the back end of last year and only managed to get away once so far. I’m not sure that this will be right for us. I absolutely love the space and look but I think practically it might not be right.

I’ve seen the club air 390 plus which I think with the attached annex might be more practical with us having a dog.

How can buying an awning be so difficult 😂 there’s just too many to choose from.
