Jacking an Al-Ko Chassis with hydraulic jack

I purchased a well known hydraulic sissor caravan jack recently. It comes with two jacking plates that bolt to the Al-Ko chassis just behind the single axle wheels. I am surprised Al-Ko placed this jacking point so close to the spare wheel carrier as this interferes with the jacking handle on the jack. Does anyone have experience of how to get around this problem please?
