Is 3 hours some sort of record?

I know awnings are meant to be a challenge, but seriously 3 hours to put up an awning?! We bought a Bradcot easy-up system and it was anything but! About 30 poles with 20 or so different nuts , bolts and screws.  They may as well have not bothered putting in any instructions, for the good that they were!  Why can't they give us proper instructions( like LEGO)  step by step. As newby caravanners we didnt have a clue what we were doing and spent an hour just looking at the poles!!! We also have a Bailey Olympus 540-5 and found that when we threaded the awning on there was a gap, as the awning seemed to big for the van( although we had ordered the correct size)This caravanning lark is quite hard work!
