Grey Water Pipes

Hi,

I will be grateful for advice on piping away the grey water to a drain on a super pitch.   I have tried flexible hose but the dips create pressure and slow the flow, what have you found to be the best combination of rigid pipes and corner pieces, dia. and lengths for touring on a variety of pitches.   Many thanks for your help.

This looks a good solution for occasional time when using serviced pitch. I have a Carado motor home. Any idea if I will need the adaptor or can I plug it straight on to my drain without? Thought I'd ask before ordering.

If you zoom in on the photo of the pipe trailing from our MH you will see an adaptor between the large diameter length supplied by Hymer and the two sections of Colapz pipe. This is a universal fitting suitable for all normal diameters. It can also be pushed directly onto the outlet on the van. I bought it from Colapz when I purchase the pipe kit, I think it was £6 or £7.

It will of course depend on the diameter of the waste pipe on your MH if you need an adaptor. Ours is a fair bit larger than the collapse pipe, which I think is designed to fit on a 29.5 MM outlet.

Thanks SteveL the Carado is from the Hymer family so probably the same size as your outlet, think its 40mm. We didn't get an extension pipe with our van so would be attaching it direct to van outlet. Did you cut adaptor down or did it fit your van without?

It goes up to about 55 MM and there were instructions about cutting down. However, with the design of our discharge pipe I couldn't see any point. I just push it over until it gets to the correct diameter (as you say about 40mm)  and it seals just fine.
