Gas or Electric BBQ

Hi all

I am just wondering, up until last year, like most caravaners the food was cooked on a Cadac. Not anymore? When in France, we went into SuperU to do some shopping and they had on sale an electric BBQ. I thought to myself, why use my gas, when the electricity I have on pitch is paid for in the fee’s. I now have a George Forman BBQ GGR50B. Having an electric socket in the side locker, which is about 20cm away from the gas BBQ point. How many of you have electric BBQ’s.

The same goes for the caravan hob 3 gas, 1 electric. We have put the low watt ‘slow’ electric kettle away, and have a whistle hob kettle. My only concern is will I trip out the supply on a French site as they tend to be lower rated than CC sites, around 6 amps? I will have to make sure that we don’t have too many electrical components on at the same time.

No connection with the above.
