Gas Hose Length

Just received our new gas barby similar to Cadac, on reading the instructions it states that a max hose length of 1.5m is used to connect.

As I intend to use this alongside M'home using the Safefill bottle, but on the other side to the gas locker, I intended to use a length of 4.5m.

As the internal appliances all have more than 1.5m pipes to them and bear in mind that I'll be using the barby on its own, will there be a significant pressure drop at the barby, thus rendering it useless?

All comments greatly appreciated.....cool

Hi a&j.

Thanks for your input.   As stated upthread, I intend to use a half full 5kg gaslite using the original supplied hose and regulator, until i figure a way to connect up an external barby connection to my main gas supply which is a Safefill. We should get a few meals out of a half full 5kg gaslite, so plenty  of time to work out and install my external barby point.......cool

Shall we open a book??

40 nights use of your barby on the gas left in the bottle tongue-outtongue-out

They really use very little gas. In 8 years we used 1 x Camping Gaz 807, and 1 x BBG Calor bottle including use at home and away.

In fact this thread has reminded me there is a full 807 in the shed, just need the adaptor.

Thanks KS, didn't realise that they were so frugal with gas, that means that I've got plenty of time to suss things out......cool
