Excalibur wheel lock.

I wonder if anyone has used ones these in place of the Alko lock insert. I have great difficulty lining up the Alko receiver when I bring my caravan home and have just discovered that the Excalibur fits the Alko receiver. The Alko lock insert only fits half of the spaces on my 2019 Swift Eccles wheel but the Excalibur appears to fit in all of them which would make life easier.

it was a copyright thing with ALKO ...  it's better/easier to fit though. I bought one second hand.

Yes that's what I was told, our neighbours tried touring and gave up within 12 months and gave us their bulldog max and we have been pleased with it

Are you sure about that?

I don't have an Excalibur but looking at the manual it appears to come with it's own receiver which has to be positioned behind the wheel each time you use the lock.

I use a Nemesis Ultra which is easy to fit (initial fitting requires the replacement of a wheel bolt) but same comment about checking insurance applies.

You are right the Excalibur does have its own receiver but according to a YouTube video, the locking mechanism screws into the Alko receiver.

If it has a M20 thread it does look like it might fit the ALKO receiver .... 🤔

Yes, I've now seen the video. If I'd known that I may have bought the Excalibur rather than the Nemesis but it looks as though there is still a need to line up the wheel with the receiver which is not necessary with the Nemesis.

If you had the Excalibur and it does fit the ALKO receiver you'd have the choice to use either it or the supplied Excalibur receiver
