Drive away awning issues

Have you tried a Safari/Kador strip. This is a piece of webbing that has a different size bead on each side usually 6mm and 8mm. A Kador strip has equal sized beads on each side.

You put the 6mm bead into the wind out canopy front slot and close up the canopy either before or after attaching the 8mm beads (assuming the bead on the Kampa awning is 8mm) together using a figure of 8 plastic connection piece that comes in lengths of 1m in which case you make a full joint and cut off the spare. 

You need to ensure tension between awning  'tunnel' and roll out canopy, hence pitch up, erect awning, pull 'tunnel' tight then peg. If you use 2 pegs to mark the centre of your unit wheels position you can return to the same place each time.

There are products on the market  (try Amazon) that are made to fit into awning rails thet stop awnings doing as you have a problem with ,we have some stinless ones(years old) that go in both ends of rail (work on our Thule wind out)and tighten with wing nuts to stop awning bead sliding,
