Cross Pegging?

I've just purchased a Mistral Ripstop Porch, I am a complete newbie - the instructions are rather basic,. well to me they are. They recommend  cross pegging at doorway/entrances. Could anyone please explain what this means.

Don't know about awnings but when we used to tent, we always pegged the attachments nearest the door with bands from opposing directions. This prevented excess stress being put on the zip in high winds. I suppose you could call that cross pegging. Perhaps someone else knows different.

Yes, exactly.....and makes opening/closing the awning zip much easier.
