charge controller - what do the LED mean?

I have a Ford Transit camper fitted with a solar panel and blue solar charge controller MPPT 75 110. It all seems to work well but the controller has green and amber LED lights that sometimes flash and sometimes stay on. 

I am not technical and do not understand what these lights are telling me. The manual has the following:-

Green LED

on - "power"

blinking - "battery life"

yellow LED

blinking fast - "bulk"

blinking slow "absorbtion"

on "float"

Can anybody give me a simple explanation what these are telling i.e. what is good or bad?
