CC SAT NAV

My husband and I have thought this to be a good idea for such a long time and wondered what you all thought?

TOM TOM and other sat nav devices are not best relied upon when planning routes when towing. 

CC generally advises that it is best to use their directions on the website or handbook.

But what if a cd in conjunction with say TOMTOM could be made available to buy which would calculate suitable routes for towing.

We use our SAT NAV a great deal however only when we arrive and not going(in case we encounter a dodgy road or hill) we have to carry our handbook or print off directions-this would make the most of the equipment  in hand and provide and extra tool through the CC.
