Campion FixOn pads?

Hello all.  We've just purchased a second hand Swift Conqueror 645 and it came with a full size awning but no instructions. Seems to have something called Campion FixOn pads.  Any ideas how to use them?  They are already attached to the awning.  I assume they are to fix the poles to the van without damaging the wall?
