It is confirmed, Calor lite is being discontinued. I have seen the letter from Calor to my local stockist.
There is also a magazine article about it at:

We use a 10kgs BP Light and a 6kgs Calor lite at the moment so hedging our bets so to speak! It's good that Calor will introduce a new lightweight model and this will be their third try at it!!! I just hope they don't change the overall size too much as that could cause some issues.
BTW, our Homebase is currently being rebranded as Bunnings so I hope they continue with the supply of what was BP Light.

Just paid £21-60 for a cylinder change at our local Calor dealer.
They said many cylinders are being scrapped when they at sent back to Calor. The slightest scratch or dent and they are junked. They ordered 36 light from Calor and only 9 turned up. May go on to BP at some point, but don't use much gas anyway

I wonder how popular Calor Gas Lites are/were. I see very few on site. As a low user they never had any appeal for me as I prefer the similar weigh 3.9kg bottles of propane. With many using hookups gas usage must have dropped from what it was 25 years ago. Most folk really do not need two 6kg bottles. I know some use more gas and particularly those who rally or use sites without having or using EHU
