If one books the service direct with Green Flag and their caravan is over 7meters long, Green Flag will not recover you in the event of an unrepairable breakdown.
The only way a caravan over 7 meters in length can be recovered, is by making your booking through The Caravan Club using Mayday, most other breakdown services will not recover a van over 7 metres in length.
Having been caravanning for a number of years, I was fully aware that Mayday was operated by Green Flag, and having made my booking on line with Green Flag direct several years ago, I was not aware of the 7 meter rule.
I have obviously been under the impression that I was fully covered when in fact I was not.
Please check your own breakdown cover so that you are not caught out.
