Barum Tyres

Hello

We are having difficulty finding a pair of good quality tyres for our ten year old Bailey Pageant Bordeaux.  The size is 195/70 R14 and the recommended load rating according to the handbook is 96.  We had hoped to get a Michelin or some other well known make, but the size is proving difficult, most tyre fitters only offer a budget brand.

We cover a lot of mileage and want something quality.  The dearest we can find is Barum, a sub group of Continental with a 101 load rating which seems excessive, but National Tyres can get them for us.  Does anyone have any experience of Barum Tyres?  We have never heard of them.

Is anyone else experiencing problems sourcing quality tyres for older caravans, or is it just us? We love our caravan and want to give it the best!

Thanks Phishing, for that suggestion about changing the tyre size.

We have got the Barums, they are on.  But that might be a good idea if we still have the van next time we are due to change.

Price for two fitted at NTS £137.
