I repaired a small tear in my awning using a piece of the repair patch fabric. Cut a piece to size and used spray contact adhesive, the stuff that is used to glue Formica down. Worked very effectively. Ensure that the area to be patched is heed taught when applying the patch. This adhesive doesn't take prisoners.
