Can any of you more experienced folk recommend / post a link to some awning pegs for use on hard standings.  Not sure the plastic ones that came with my Bradcot Air will be up to the job given the very dry conditions we are having.

Thanks in advance cool

Aldi and Lidl sell good ones when they do the camping weeks, also most caravan accesory stores will have some there are also some "screw in" types they are all much of a muchness

Also get a decent "lump" hammercool

Just Google 'rock pegs' and buy from a decent supplier. I bought mine from Go Outdoors but not sure that they still sell them. You will get many reviews for individual items on Amazon.

I can't say I'm "experienced" but I read on here or somewhere, that screw in peg are best.

I have to agree, except I bought coach bolt type screws and washers

Like these

All you need is an adaptor for a cordless drill (oh yeah you need one of those as well, but also useful for winding the steadies)

I can't be bothered with all the banging in and trying to pull them back out ... I can peg (screw?) out my Air ace in a fraction of the time I could with a hammer!

Even makes light work on a CC (sorry CAMC) hardstanding and they are like concrete!

A significantly cheaper option than rock pegs is just use bolts.

I use M10 x 200mm bought from Tool Station for (I think) £1.60 with some M10 penny washers so the guylines don't slip off. Never found any surface they wont screw into (using a cordless drill) even when staying  the bottom of an old quarry where the surface was a mixture of rock and old tarmac.

Thank for the replies, I have ordered 30 of these  for £20 Pegs and will see how they perform.

If anyone is thinking of buying some bolts and making their own the same seller also supplies just the plastic hook parts to replace broken ones. See Here
