Awning life span.

Hi all. Just wondered if any of you could give an me an inclination as to how long an awning should last before it needs replacing. Taking into consideration make, price paid usage and quality is a big ask I know. For example I have a Suncamp Ultima porch awning. I bought about 18 months ago have used it approx 6 times and although quite pleased with it I feel I could have bought better for not a lot more pounds spent. I also know that the weather has not been good this year but it isn't the best for keeping the rain out either. So this discussion could be broken up into two parts really sorry. But basically I would like to know of your experience with awnings and the general life span for one of  reasonable quality.
