Awning deals at the Caravan Show NEC

I am looking to purchase a Kampa Air Awning. I can get 20% off plus £200 of extras such as carpets and rear poles from a local dealer. The offer of the £200 extras runs until the NEC show.

My question as a new caravanner is it likely I could get better deals if I purchased at the NEC which I am planning to go to anyway.

We bought our new caravan last year at the show and I know there are show deals to be had but we did not look then at awnings.

It's anyone's guess - but the deal you have been offered sounds pretty good to me.  So you jump one way or the other and then find out you could have saved a few pounds by going the other way - does it really matter?

With regard to the extras - I wouldn't bother with the rear poles.  I have a set and have never needed to use them.  Providing you pitch the awning correctly - with the rear corners slightly underneath the van you will get a good seal without them.

I would, however, consider the roof lining as being worthwhile and perhaps even the Kampa LED lighting.

Sounds a good deal to me. I would normally expect to get 10% off of retail prices at the show. Surely better to use a local dealer who you can go back to if any problems rather than a dealer who may be in a different part of the country.
