Hi,

We are away to buy an Air Awning for our compass 840. Looking at a 330 so it comes down between the front window and the rear bedroom window, did consider a 390 but it would come down on the rear window. Anyone use a 390 and how good a seal do you get over the window? Any other recommendations or tips for buying an air awning? What’s everyone using?

TIA

I have a Isabella 420 universal which i brought as got fed up having to change awning overtime changes the van On present van it does not go over any windows On vans that it has I put clingfilm on window where side pole is so window not get scratched Only problem could be you cannot open that window Not been a problem for me plenty of other windows to open

There is a small gap at top & bottom of window but again not been a problem

Hope you can soon get away to try out your new awning

ISTR reading that clingfilm on acrylic windows is not good for them. Why not use a bit of foam pipe insulation?

Yes I also heard/read that too CY.

We have a Kampa air awning and they have a product called a limpet system, that attaches the ends of an awning more firmly and with less draughts to the side of the caravan. I've not used it myself so can't comment as to how good it is.

A bit like CY's suggestion we just use extra downright poles to keep the built in foam closer to the sides.
