Hi Guys,

Am ready to purchase a new motorhome, to spend approx £40K. 2 or 3 berth, low profile, compact, mainly for europe. Is there really a big saving on ferries for below the 6metre mark as i will be travelling from Ireland. I have been looking at the 2016 Elddis Accordo, either 120 or 135 as well as the Adria Compact. Are both these makes good products? Both have 10 year water ingress protection. Has anyone any of the above or had, and could you please provide me with good advice. I am new to this and i want to get it right 1st time as this is a big investment. Thanks for your help on this matter.

the two designs are as different as could be.....

one, typically uk style, the other definitely a continental van...

the Elddis will be a bit basic and is definitely at the lower end of the market....marketed as a 'dealer special' by Marquis, youll get the same van with a few more toys....

Adria, less fussy design, but far, far better screwed together, IMO....but more 'continental' in its features and layout....

one of the adria compacts has a decent garage, whereas the storage 'solutions' on the Elddis can be a bit compromised (lifting rear benches, smaller exterior access etc)..

£40 will also buy you a one year old 'better' van, an option could be a Swift Rio....they come in a few different designs....

or even a 6m van from Pilote, Rapido etc....

all vans should have the balance of any long term warranty transferrable....

good luck
