What, exactly, does "MH access" mean

As a soon-to-be motorhomer, I am slightly confused by the bit in the 2019 Handbook that gives extra information about some supermarkets, for example "Asda 4m (MH access)".  I can't find anywhere that explains what criteria they have used to provide this information, and searching the site using that term comes up with nothing, so I guess it hasn't been explained here before

Our local ASDA has height barriers which are only used on occasion

Which a couple of our Travelling Community took advantage of in recent years.

I said I've not yet encountered an inaccessible supermarket, TT, and I've never been to Stockport. 😆

I notice that Club Sites have mention of nearest supermarkets in handbook.

Yes, that's where the original question came from.  What criteria do they use to make the MH access recommendation and, I guess, why isn't there a Yes or No note on all the supermarkets instead of a haphazard sometimes there is sometimes there isn't?

It obviously depends on how large your motorhome is but I don't think I would rely on the access information without making my own checks which would mainly involve using Google Earth. A panel van conversion up to six metres is likely to get in anywhere where you can park a large 4X4 but anything over 7 metres long requires a bit more research. You also need to check, especially with a longer van, that you can through park rather than all the parking bays being limited to the length of the average car.
