Can you suggest a good quality water container, about a gallon/5 litres capacity that doesn't leak and is easy to pour from. We usually use supermarket disposable bottles but want to reduce waste and just re-sterilise it as necessary.

I use a two litre water jug with clip on lid and spout shut off which I found in Tesco. It fits nicely in the fridge door. I also have a 5 litre container with a tap to use as a top up for the jug etc. Just google "camping water container with tap" click on images and take your pick.

I use a recycled Ad-Blue container, properly cleaned and sterilised.  It is flexible, a convenient size and the easy pour spout is very useful.

The 5 litre containers in which supermarkets sell bottled water are ideal. Not too heavy to carry when full, and available in round or square section to suit one's storage requirement.

They are also neat enough to fill the kettle and the espresso machine directly without worrying about a spout spilling.  I usually carry four filled ones in the Land Rover to provide supplies for a quick brew at any stop, and also immediately on arrival before site water supply is arranged.

They do last for a long time with carefull use, but once one looks a bit likely to leak it is passed onto duties for filling the rinse water tank for the toilet. When the handle fails they are not quite useless as I cut off the top and use the bottom as a storage container in my workshop,

I presume you are referring to the myth that AdBlue contains porcine waste.  Not so, the urea is obtained by heating synthetic ammonia and mixing it with deionised water.

We just use the 1 litre flavoured water bottles, save s coiple before we leave home, fill with water and keep in the fridge for cold drinking water, or making tea/coffee en route.

Anything more than that........that is what taps and Aquarolls/onboard tanks are for.
