Ultraheat Fan not working

Hi,

On our last trip the heater fan in our 2009 Bessacarr E435 Truma Ultraheat stopped working.  The gas and electric fire both still work but the blown air doesn't.  I was hoping someone on this forum  might have an answer.

Most forums suggest a blown fuse as the most likely cause, but I have no idea where the fuse is.  I have checked all the fuses in the 12volt fuse box (none of them mention the fan) and they are all ok.  If I connect the fan unit directly to a 12v battery it works properly, but there is no voltage across the loom wire feeding the fan and it is impossible to trace it back without taking the loom apart.

Does anyone know the source of the fan's 12v feed and does it have its own fuse?

I could bypass the existing loom and run a new feed from a suitable 12v point via a line fuse, but I would rather not if possible.

Any suggestions welcome, thanks in advance.

Regards

Bob Pluck

Is  there  a  Bessacar  owners club  on  line perhaps  ??  Much  info  could  be  available  there.

I'm not familiar with the Ultraheat but certainly the Truma Combi has two in-unit fuses that can cause problems.

first things first.....are all other 12v circuits working correctly?

if not, there may be other items protected by the same fuse, the swift manual should help here.

i can't see any in-unit fuses on the Truma schematic so it's likely to be a fuse on the main board.

fairly easy to check them all, one by one...

good luck.
