Hi just starting on the motorhome scene and have bought a used van.Looking at tyres i can see some cracks developing and want to change them for peace of mind. Approached a local tyre dealer for quote and he stated that the tyre spec are marked 'camping' as they have a higher spec sidewall to cope with long static periods and help prevent flat spotting. He felt that this was over engineerd and a good quality tyre with correct load spec (109 i believe) is more than adequate, and may improve ride with a more supple tyre wall

What are you more experienced guys thoughts?

Thanks

Geoff
