Hope this subject has not been posted before. We are in the process of changing our MH the old one has the Truma convector heater/fire as well as the blown air heating but the new one will have the Combi 4 sited under the french bed, has anyone any comments or experience of this system with regard to noise issues if used at night in cold weather. Thanks

We have a 7.5m m/home and use a 500watt wardrobe heater with its thermostat at night on a time clock.  Clicks on at about 5:30am and all is toasty by about 7:30.

No whirring sounds, or braving the cold to switch the heating on.

Hi, it's a Dimplex MPH 500 small box heater. it is a convector heater, quite light and easy to regulate, a lot cheaper some years ago !  I see they are about £50, but our is over 10 years old now and been in constant use  (On cooler nights !!)

Most oil heaters are two or three times the weight, and take a time to warm up and cool down.

Yes, we are aware of the heat, under what is my daughters bed. Not a massive problem and ideal in winter, but not on a hot summers night.

So I operate the water heating on the timer in summer.
Programme it to go off early evening so we use all the hot water before bedtime, and the Combi is then cool. Then programmed to come on before we get up, so nice and hot for morning ablutions.
Works well.

Good to see you take a look at the forum now and again.

Wish more manufacturers did.
