Hi

We have a problem with our waterpump.  Once we turn on the waterpump we can use the taps etc,but we have noticed that water is pumping out of the overflow at the back of our motorhome. Which is causing the pump to compensate and we need to fill the tank more often than we should,  Has anyone had a similar problem, and how did you resolve it, if at all.

Hope you can help

As HBW says, its likely to be an open frost valve - the frost valve protects the boiler from its content freezing up over winter. To drain a motorhome for winter, the frost valve has to be opened and left open when not in use in cold climes. It's easy to forget and leave it open after winter - I've done it several times over the years.

If closing the frost valve doesn't stop the flow, ask again. And if you don't know the valve's location [it should be in the manual], give details of your motorhomes make, model, and age; somebody who has a similar van might come along and tell you.
