I have purchased a Swift 696 and am winterising it.

If I use the isolation switch does this deactivate the Cobra alarm and Tracke systems?

Switch it and see?

Have not come across an isolation switch only the normal 12v  on/off (isolation?) switch on the control panel.

Presumably you are laying it up for the winterSmile

Evidently the answer is yes, which would invalidate any insurance if the vehicle is stolen. If in storage the vehice battery would drain and depending on storage time a jump start would be required.

Fortunately I have space to store the unit at home and can plug in to mains every couple of weeks for 72 hours. Because the unit has a smart charger system both leisure battery and engine battery can be charged.

Thankyou to Alan at Marquis Motorhomes in Durham a very helpful and knowledgable gentleman.

A pity other dealers couldn't help because the unit was purchased from them!

It's a Commercial Vehicle and will not take kindly to being left unused during the winter. They really need to be used every couple of weeks just to stop brakes etc getting all rusted up. Nothing worse IMHO than leaving it to rot on the driveway. We took ours to North Wales the other week and had a great night parked by the sea. Off to Norfolk in the new year for a couple of weeks.

If you have a solar panel that will keep the batteries topped up and also power the alarm.
