Have you ever been stuck in the mud ? Like many hundreds of other motorhomers, we had to be towed to dry land at the end of this year's National MH Show at Peterborough. (Perhaps we should have bought a narrowboat to cope with 2012's weather !)
Since then, we nearly got stuck again when staying in Oxford after 48 hours of torrential rain.
We own a 4 ton GVW Autocruise Gleneagle powered by a 3 litre diesel engine thro front wheel drive. A lovely van and it handles very nicely on the open road, but not the best combination to try to drive on saturated surfaces !
Can anyone suggest what precautions to take to avoid getting stuck in the mud ?
