Hi All

Has anyone fitted a rubber seal  on a Heki mini roof vent if so how have you done it as no instructions came with it.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi Keith & Margaret

Thanks for your reply we have viewed the link that you sent but unfortunately it is the rubber seal on the dome that we are struggling to fit.

If it’s too unpliable, put it into warm, not boiling,  water. This might make it easier to fit. Dry it off quickly while still warm and then try fitting it.

I did it with the roof vent in-situ ok with a flat-headed screwdriver and a lot of patience. The trick was to start the seal in the middle of a straight run, and roughly stick it in position at some key points all the way round - this prevents the weight of the trailing seal pulling out all the work you’ve done. Then run it into position properly. It’s a little longer than you need, so trim it off when finished. Didn’t use any glue, and it has stayed in position for more than a year so far.

Murder on the arms though!
