Ravenna Autosleeper

I have a 2006 2.4 Ravenna Autosleeper based on a Mk 6 Ford Transit.

The problem I have is rainwater on top of the engine. Under the bonnet there is a dedicated covered channel for taking away windscreen rainwater which is then dumped to the far left and right via outlets and away from the engine.  These outlets are clear and working but at the mid point of the channel, above the engine, water drips down on to the engine.

I have contacted Ford who have referred me back to the local dealership - and they say they are aware of this problem but there is no remedy.

I have read previously that this problem is not uncommon on the Transit.

Has anyone else come across this and are aware of a remedy.

Thanks - your response is much appreciated. I have found some good information about the problem on the "About And Live" forum. It is a design fault on the Transit which can be fixed with some creative d.i.y. but I shall pass on the information to my garage who will look at it during the MOT.

I will be looking on the AutoSleepers owners forum as you have suggested which I am sure will complete the picture.

Thanks Tinwheeler.

You're very welcome.

Be aware that the whole of ASOF is not visible unless you register. It's a good place to find info.
