We are still having issues with our Wellhouse Ford Transit CustomTerrier Campervan, supplied by Brakes Motors Illminster, after twelve months. Wellhouse Terrier Campervans have since joined with Lunar Caravans. Issues have been many, various and quite serious. Ranging from an insecure roof and water ingress, to panel trims repeatedly coming away. Wellhouse have looked at the vehicle on numerous occasions, yet Issues continue to arise. We own our vehicle outright (no loan or HP) yet Wellhouse fitted a trim that doesn't match the others in the van and which they were told several times that we didn't want! - Several people have picked out the mismatched trim, without being told which one it was! - We parted with £47,500.00 and regret it! We've been told that we have been unlucky. However, we haven't had "the attention to detail" or "craftsmanship" that others claim, especially when Panel Trims are coming away for a third time. And I don't consider that has anything to do with bad luck!

Its sad to say but there are a number of makes of motorhomes that suffer with poor quality build.

I know of at least 3 Bailey motorhome owners who have now successfully managed to return their vehicles to the dealers as 'not fit for purpose' and received a settlement. Many of the popular makes suffer water ingress, we have had this twice on our van. It upsetting and frustrating thankfully we have had very good support and service from our dealer and its been fixed (we hope) under warranty.

Bad workmanship is not a new thing and I guess is something that will continue to happen as firms get ever bigger and the personal touch is lost.  How the dealer and manufacturer treat you as a customer is the big turn off for most people.

If we had not had a good dealer then we would almost certainly have gone down the same route as other Bailey owners and rejected the van, however with a 10 year ingress warranty and still 5 years to go we have time on our side and a van we like so not panicking just yet.

I do hope your fortunes change for the better in the coming months and you can put all this behind you and start to enjoy your time away.
