Do personalised number plates on a motorhome affect the value of the vehicle in any way?

Would be interested in thoughts. Have a fairly new van which we are quite happy with at present ,but as we are getting on a bit, if we decided to sell this later or trade in for a smaller outfit, how do dealers usually react to a personalised number plate?  We would not be interested in swopping the reg to another vehicle or retaining it.

If you didn't pay the £80 transfer fee to take it off I think most people might regard it as a bonus, especially if it was any good, as they would simply apply to take it off, put it on retention, and offer it for sale.

Apart from the slight faff involved I cant see it reducing the value or putting anybody off.......

Just remember that the digits have to conform to regulations as regard spacing, size etc.It has become another motoring regulation that drivers ignore(speeding, traffic lights etc.)
