We have finally sold our Caravan and now look to buy a Motorhome, well it is not an easy task. My first choice was the Fixed bed as we had one in our Caravan .Having seen a  few we found the fixed bed ones slightly compact. We did not want the over cabin bed as we are in our 60s so where do we go from there. We have seen a lovely Autocruise Stargaze and with the large lounge seating we feel this may be the one for us . If the Grandchildren come with us they can use the over cabin bed .Any help would be appreciated. We are keeping it on our drive and we cannot have anything over 20ft. The make is  a Peugeot .

No we have not seen it yet going tomorrow and as for the seat belts we would never take the kids without having them strapped in. As for the Erberspacher we will see what happens when he puts it on i will let you all know when we have seen the vehicle thanks for all your comments

We were at Moreton-in-Marsh a couple of years ago where there was a MH with an Eberspacher quite a distance away.  I agree, Michael, we could hear that all the time.

My OH went over to tell them that they'd left the lights on, on their bicycles.  He knocked, waited, knocked again, waited again, then knocked very hard and they heard him.  First thing they said was: sorry, the Eberspacher is really loud and so we didn't hear you knocking!

So I'd also say, be careful with that part of it.

I had an Autocruise Starburst with an Eberspacher heater AND hot water, and IMO it was far better and more efficient than my present Truma Combi 4, wish i had it now, suggest that the silencer was faulty ?

Ony caveat you need a leisure battery in good condition as they are heavy on 12v when starting up, only reason not many converters use them is they are relatively expensive to buy.

Ours was quiet when running, to us in the van anyway.

We saw the Motorhome today the outside of the Vehicle was good, but the inside not as good. One of the side windows was broke no mention of that on the advert, overall condition inside could of been better it needed cleaning .The privacy blinds were bad they were dirty and in bad condition. We did not buy it .

That's a shame, before you go and see a vehicle you like the sound and look of, you get really excited (I do anyway!).  Difficult sometimes to be objective, but you do need to have your feet firmly on the ground!  Didn't sound good, and I'm sure you did the right thing.

It wasn't meant for you and there will be a better one waiting for you; keep us updated.

Agree with Ina D quote”  It wasn't meant for you and there will be a better one waiting for you “

If you know layout/length you want it may be worth emailing local dealers to see what they come up with.  There will probably be part exchanges going in as customers get their new M'homes from last October's show or indeed the February show coming up soon.   Good Luck
