Microwave rattles

Has anyone solved the problem of a rattling microwave.  We remove the glass stand and rotating wheeled thingy but on the move the microwave rattles.

We use door bungs between the m/w and it's housing, but these are starting to damage the trim on the housing. We have also made shaped discs by cutting up foam piping insulation but these all drop out.

Thanks

Something loose in your microwave me thinks. Had various vans with none of them suffering any serious rattles. Current one is the best of all, can hardly hear it when its running never mind when we are moving. Is the microwave in question a factory install or one you have installed yourself?

Thanks for your reply. It's factory fitted with everything removed. I'be ordered some silicon rubber things to put around it. Let's see if that helps when travelling.

I would be getting it checked out, we dont bother removing the glass turntable and never hear it. Then again our micro is a good bit back, however, we do hear the oven trays rattle if we dont jam them in and its directly below microwave. I think you have something loose.

Nothing worse than a rattle, Im strange I cannot cope with one until I know what it is and I can fix it. Other half is always in the back searching out some sort of noise.

Last Mirowave we had was in a Swift Bolero. The little wheels went square after we used it a couple of times. Dealer said we should make sure the MH was perfectly level before we used it. Not had one since. Waste of time and can only be used on 240v hookup. Remove it and put a cupboard in it's place far more use and it won't rattle Laughing

I respect your opinion but we find we use or microwave a lot. It's great for heating up soups, heating frozen vegetables and not all are solely reliant on 240 Volts. Ours runs nicely on battery and does not take long to recharge with the solar panels. Cheaper than using the gas.

Our microwave rattled when travelling with nothing inside. We thought it the plastic door. When in use heating up food there was noise unless you put light pressure on the door. We are now replacing it as it no longer heats the food. (Light, clock, timer & turntable still work)
